The house offered a cozy atmosphere with well-stocked kitchen essentials—cooking was a breeze. I loved the clean, stylish decor throughout the rooms. Daily towel changes kept everything fresh. Access to Netflix and other entertainment options made our evenings enjoyable. The garden area was perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring. However, parking posed a challenge due to limited space. some guests' cars were parked inefficiently, making it tricky to find a spot. The external bathroom layout was a bit awkward and not very private. Despite these minor inconveniences, the experience felt personal and unique, with a strong focus on guest comfort.

The absence of washer/dryer in some rooms is inconvenient!!! Multiple guests referenced awkward external bathroom arrangements!!! Temperature control in common areas leaves much to be desired!!! Poor mobile signal detracts from the experience!!!

we had an amazing stay at haukaberg house! after a previous experience in the city, this place truly exceeded my expectations. the rooms were cozy and stylish, and the owner was incredibly welcoming.

I loved the cozy atmosphere and how well the house was stocked with everything we needed for cooking. There’s a nice garden area to relax and a comfy lounge for catching up on shows after a long day. The only hiccup was Google Maps sending us a bit off track, but it was easy to fix—definitely rent a car for exploring! 😊

Elín is an exceptional host! The location is quiet, only 10 minutes from Höfn. The fully equipped kitchen is easy to use, making meals enjoyable. Highly recommend for group travel!

Family group cozy stay

Everything was so clean and well-kept! The host even had a book with recommendations for places to visit, leading us to a great handcraft store nearby – a total win.

It wasn’t exactly cheap but still acceptable.
